Back on the couch! Sitting here with my latte. Me and Chhaya went for a long walk in the sunshine. ☼
Going to work later this evening.
I am planning on doing something nice for a few people this week, just because. It feels good inside to do something nice for somebody else.
I will qoute something true and thoughtworthy from VISION magazine.

"You see, random acts of kindness beg for us to be selfless. We certainly don't expect to receive anything beneficial to ourselves by acting randomly, which again speaks to the beauty of the action - it's for someone else, it's for something else.
There's no reaon the nonhuman world doesn't benefit from random acts of kidness as well. The earth is as deserving of kind acts as anything,
because without it and it's resources we cease to exist. So why not act? That's the point. In being random and being kind, the sky is the limit for
where these acts can lead. To show concern for our planet and all it's beings is the definition of being kind and is found in every important historical
text ever created."

Tatiana has to get dressed and venture out in the cold for some food and latte.
Noooooo.......it is COLD outside and warm on the couch. Tatiana is tired of bundling up in big jackets and thick pants.
But, it is a little after noon and time to start the day. Chhaya needs to get out and there is laundry to be done.
The daily routines are waiting.....and that hot vanilla latte.

Busy at home

Decided to stay home tonight since I really needed to take take care of business around here.
Chhaya got a bath, not her favorite thing to take part in but she is now clean and sleeping under a warm blanket.
Then I dusted and vacuumed. Earlier I mopped the floors. After writing this I am going to scrub the tub and take a bath.
I want this place to be clean. I love it when it's clean at home. I don't like it messy. Well messy is ok but not dirty.
My place in Vegas is way larger than the apartment I have here in Kenai. I have a one bedroom here. But that's ok for now.

Speaking of Vegas.....I have a memory to share.
People always think that working as a dancer in Vegas means that you make all kinds of money.....lots of money.....
Well, I can only speak for myself, my friends that I danced with there and from what I have seen. Usually the money is ok.
There can be some very bad nights and some good ones but from my experience having amazing money nights consistently, that is not going
to happen. Unless you do more than just dance. Which some girls do, of course.
I went gambling with people I met at work a few times, always brought another friend with me. And it was almost always too much of a hassle
to be worth it. I do know girls that had great gambling experiences with people they met at work though.
One time I met, what seemed to be a very cool and fun guy, at Crazy Horse Too. We got along really well and he asked me if I would like to
join him for some gambling. I was kind of over work that night, so I said that I would go but only if I could bring my friend Shelley with me.
AND since we were leaving work early, we needed $ 350 each just to go and some money to gamble with.
To make up for the potential loss at work. Not unheard of in Vegas.
And I also made sure that he understood that it would be gambling ONLY and no more than a few hours.
He seemed to get it, agreed and off we went to gamble.
Since me and Shelley are polite we didn't want to ask for the money upfront. HA! My advice is, take the money first, forget about being nice
and polite. We gambled for a few hours. It got to be a little after 5 AM and we said we needed leave pretty soon. Tired.
He said he had the money in the room. Ok, fine, up we go to the room. I wasn't worried because in between me and Shelley,
we can fight especially Shelley - very feisty.
I saw that he had enough chips on the table in the room to cover our little gambling expenditure.
But once we got up to the room he basically said that he was expecting MORE and didn't want to give us the money anymore.
Well, of course we reminded him of our agreement and that we never even remotely made him think that there would be more.
Trust me, IF I was going to do "more" $ 350 wouldn't even begin to cover it.
So, we got pissed off, he got pissed off and starting shooing us out of the room.
The thing about him was that he had been wearing a pair of really expensive sunglasses the whole night. He was really proud over them, thought they looked really good on him and they were also newly acquired.
Well, since we didn't get the money, right before he closed the door to his room at the Bellagio, Shelley snatched the sunglasses off his face and
broke them in two pieces. He was not happy but whatever! Jerk!
So off we went, laughing........another night in Vegas......
And no, I have never done "more" for money. That is not for me. That part of me is only shared with people that I want to share it with.

Sunday repose

After working every night since Tuesday I definitely needed a nice, quiet night off.
Spent the day eating (of course), squeezed in an hour at the gym, got the latest fashion magazines. I NEED silver nail polish!

And there is a new shampoo that I want to try.....L'Oreal EverCreme cleansing conditioner, part shampoo, part conditioner. I love indulging in shampoo's and conditioners. I don't have any favorites, I like to try new products and switch in between many brands often.
I am also really curious about Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi line. Then there is a scalp treatment from Aveda that I want to try.

Oh, I LOVE and NEED these Fendi shades, how DA NANG! Tinted PINK. CUTE!!! You get for me!!?

Work last night was good. I was bossing all the men (my fans) around, that is always fun.
Met two nice guys from Texas. One was 50 % Polish and had never met anyone actually from Poland before.....he claimed that there are none in Houston. Really? I highly doubt that. Lol.
He was under the impression that Poland is still ruled by Russia and not a democracy.
I informed him that the Berlin wall fell in 1989, much due to the influence of the Solidarnosc movement that started in the 80's in Poland.
To be exact, in Gdansk. No, not Danzig - that is the old German way of saying it. It is Gdansk.
I was born in Gdynia and that is a town right next to Gdansk.
Though I should add here that I think finding true democracy anywhere is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

He also didn't know who my husband (lol) Putin is. Vladimir Putin that is. Who is working on becoming Russia's president again, though people over
there are actually mustering up courage and protest this. I was very surprised over this lack of knowledge I have to say......
This guy was perhaps in his late 30's to mid 40's, I am not that good at guessing a persons age since I don't obsess over that too much.
But he was a retired sniper, used to be stationed in Afghanistan. With that career path I would think that some knowledge in
world politics should be appropriate? Maybe? But then again.....there are plenty of topics I have no clue about either.....

Tatiana is resting on the couch. Chhaya is a very happy puppy, belly full of food and tired from a long walk earlier.
The weather has been "warm". Warm enough to enjoy the time spent outside, no need to bundle up and still freeze.
This means that Chhaya can go for long walks every day.
Ran errands earlier. Had to get an apple fritter and a latte.
In a bit Tatiana is going to jump in the shower and get ready for work. It is hair washing day today.
Tatiana washes her her hair every three days if she goes to work.

I got back a little while ago from work, it's 3 AM. Since it was Valentine's Day still when I got to work, around 9 PM, I brought a cake with me.

And that cake was really good. I had two pieces, one piece is never enough for me, I have a serious sweet tooth.....

In honor of Valentine's Day I wore this necklace by Tarina Tarantino. Got it a long time ago in some store on Second Street in Long Beach, CA.
Love that place. I used to live there......

Work was slow but we had fun. I practiced making kissy faces as you can see......you never know when you have to pull your best kissy
face out of your sleeve.

I think Valentine's Day is cute. I know a lot of people that don't but that's them, not me.
It's not about getting stuff. I am a giver. So whether it's a cute card, a gift or a simple message - I think it is an occasion to recognize the
people that you care for. Did I get stuff for Valentine's Day? Yes. Chocolates. Pink wine. A gift card. Cards. ♥
And I haven't even checked my PO BOX yet.
But to people that complain about not getting anything, give something instead! You do not need a spouse or a boyfriend/girlfriend.
Give something to a friend. Or a stranger.

Thoughts while in bed

Tatiana is tired, she went to sleep right before 6 am this morning and got up after only four hours of sleep.
Now it's around midnight. Sleep will be lovely. Tatiana loves sleeping, it feels so good. Pure pleasure.
Some thoughts here.....late at night.
If Tatiana had unlimited finances, she would indulge in massages several times a week. And facials every two weeks or so.
There is not much that can top a good massage. Tatiana loves getting rubbed, squeezed and pulled.
If Cathy, the lady that Tatiana goes to in Vegas for massages, only knew how often Tatiana thinks fondly of her.....

Spent the afternoon exploring some lakes that are nearby.
Windy but a beautiful day. The snow is melting, I saw the ground in many spots today. But this is Alaska, more snow and colder weather can can be expected before winter is over.
Later I spent the evening eating lots of sugary stuff, camped out on the couch, watching the Grammys.
Very pleased with Adele's wins. Who doesn't sing Adele's songs? I do. At home, in the car.....at work I
sometimes dance to "Set Fire To The Rain". I loooooove that song. Good for Adele.
Now, I am going to read some blogs, wash my face, take Chhaya out and go to sleep.

Each year World Press goes through thousands and thousands of photos and pick one, for photo of the year.
2011 World Press Photo of the Year winner is this image by Samuel Aranda of a yemeni woman cradling what is thought to be a relative.
I think that it is a gripping image. I feel despair and sadness when I look at it. Sense the suffering.

Rhino Poaching. You can see the sadness in the eyes of the two rhinos. When I see stuff like this I hate humans, the biggest destroyers of
everything beautiful on this planet. Poaching is absolutely DISGUSTING. And so is trophy hunting. Animals must despise the human race.

I would be scared to be intimate with her, scared for my own health. What a life, how sad.....
I can only hope that somehow, she is ok. And that her daughter will take a different path.

Friday Night

It's Friday night and I decided to stay at home. Didn't really feel the energy to get ready and work until anytime between two and
five in the morning.
Plus I had a headache earlier. So I am staying in. Not doing much of anything. The usual - eating.
Earlier though.....I ran a bunch of errands. Sent out some Valentine's Days cards and gifts to friends. And some salmon to my Mom.
Feeling extremely lazy and doughy. But I am changing that tomorrow, back to the gym.
Two weeks until I leave and I will make good use of that time.
About to read a little now and go to sleep early for a change. Early for me means around 1 AM.
Here is a pic of my freshly painted toes. I know that somebody out there must like them - so this one is for YOU......

Girl maintenance........at least for this girl.
Tatiana waxes her own legs (thighs mostly), saves lots of $. And it can be done nekkid at odd hours, on the couch while watching tv.
As far as pedicures goes. Tatiana loves going to the salon for a GOOD pedi. But she has not been able to find a place here in town, yet.
Last time she went, some lazy, unmotivated girl did a bad number on Tatiana's toes. Since Tatiana can cut her own toenails and has plenty of
polishes to pick from, she can do her own pedis. For free. But she prefers a good pedi at a salon including a long foot rub.....Tatiana likes her
toenails to be square cut and her feet thoroughly massaged. The square cut did not happen tonight. More like weird cut, oh well.
The result? You need to come back to see that. Tatiana can't reveal everything at once....... HELLOOOOOO!!!
